Good news
'Someone once told me' visits goodthings!
Kayte was pleased to invite Mario Cacciottolo from the website www.someoneoncetoldme.com to spend a day with her taking photos of local business people in Ampthill. The website is a social arts project which is fast gathering momentum and has a global following. Mario invites people to submit photographs of themselves to the site holding up a banner with a phrase that someone once told them written on it. Contributions range from the silly to deeply moving, and all are worth a look. The day was a huge success with contributions coming in from nine local organisations including Bonfire Design, Ampthill Fireplaces, the Cooks Collection, the Bedfordshire Humanists, and the Antiques Emporium. All submitted photographs will feature on the website soon so keep looking!

Managing Business Creativity and Innovation
Maybe it was turning 30 that did it but Kayte has decided to re-live her student days. The part time MSc in Managing Business Creativity and Innovation at The University of Bedfordshire begins in Oct 09 and will furnish Kayte with a wealth of new skills to offer local organisations. Now where did we put that tin opener...?

Delivering 7 habits of effective teenagers
Kayte has now been accredited to deliver FranklinCovey's 7 Habits of effective teenagers. Based on the personal effectiveness book by Stephen Covey's son Sean it is based on the 7 habits that we know and love but delivered in a way to make it attractive and accessible for teenagers. Delivery of the course will form part of a wider Paul Hamlyn Project funded 'learning futures' project at Biddenham Upper School in Bedfordshire which encourages schools to turn traditional pedagogy on its head and 'throw off the bowlines...'
This is a deeply innovative project and one that Kayte hopes will inform professional personal development. Is business brave enough to learn lessons from education?
